Reusable nappies - my reasons for using them
I am Mum to two boys, on the first one I used disposables initially and then a mixture of cloth and disposables from the age of 3 months before switching to cloth full time. On my second child I only used reusable nappies.
My reasons for using reusable nappies were primarily to reduce the amount of rubbish that we put into our bin, however, I soon realised the other benefits of washable nappies which include limiting exposure to chemicals and the financial rewards.
When buying my cloth nappies I mainly purchased online, however, I did not always get it right as it is very difficult to tell what a reusable nappy feels like from looking at a picture. I wanted to share my experiences and help other parents to make an informed choice regarding their reusable nappies.
I now work closely with Wiltshire Wildlife Trust, Swindon Real Nappy Network and Gloucestershire Council promoting the use of cloth nappies.
I offer help, advice and sales to parents to ensure that they buy the right reusable nappies for their circumstances.
